Introduction

I am an artist who is active in the field of painting for last 25 years. I studied under famous portrait artist Late Shri. Joseph Newton. Now I am running my own Studio Gallery named “Chitrasala Art Gallery” which is inaugurated by His Excellency the Bishop of Cochin. My gallery got privilege to receive auspicious guest Sir Roy Calne (Nobel Prize Winner), Prof. Mersey Willams (Mayor, Cochin Corporation), Shri. K.K.N. Kurup (Director General, Centre for Heritage Studies, Hill Palace), Shri. Suresh Joseph (G.M., DP World), Shri. Gopi (Registrar, Hill Palace Museum), Holyman Nochoor Venkitaraman, Shri. Vinod Daniel (Head, Cultural Heritage and Science Initiatives Branch & Chairman, AusHeritage) etc.

Some of my works are collected and permanently displayed in Arakkel Museum (Calicut), Hortus Malabaricus Museum (Hill Palace), Centre for Heritage Studies (Hill Palace), Cochin Refineries, BSNL (Ernakulam), Aspinwall , Malayala Manorama (Ernakulam & Kottayam), Harbour View Residency (Ernakulam), Cochin Club, Lotus Club, YMCA (Ernakulam), Alappatt Arcades (Ernakulam), Brunton Boat Yard etc.

I have introduce a new method of oil painting which is a combination of oil and some chemicals together with the paints which results the work look very old.

Monochromatic Landscape works are my speciality. I had done more than 400 landscape paintings of ancient cochin. Nearly 300 paintings are displayed in my gallery. Malabar Institute for Research and Development released one of my painting poster with courtesy Archaeological Survey of India. My Dutch Monumental landscape works are appreciated and collected by Malabar Institute for Research and Development, Vatakara. Original art cards of my landscape paintings are available in my gallery only.

A separate collection of paintings of old Dutch, British, Arab, Greek ships are new highlight of my gallery.
